Annapurna Region
Annapurna Region is an area in north western Nepal famous for world's best trekking routes and some of the most beautiful mountain sceneries. Treks in this region start from the charming lake city of Pokhara which makes a great base for trekkers due to its natural beauty and many modern facilities. The Annapurna region is an area of contrasts comprising the wettest, driest and windiest places in Nepal. Treks in this area offer incredibly diverse scenery, with high snow capped mountains, deep river valleys, dense forest and traditional lowland villages. Wildlife in the area includes many large birds like hawks and vultures, blue sheep, Himalayan tahr, black faced langur monkeys as well as rhesus monkeys and smaller mammals like Himalayan weasel. Annapurna region features unique cultural aspect with many traditional villages dotted along the trekking trails.
